Built for 400
salespeople.

Salesforce is a serious piece of software built for a serious problem, and that problem is four hundred people forecasting a quarter. A fund is eight people and eleven kinds of relationship that all connect to each other.

Your seed round is 60%
likely to close in Q3.

That is what a sales CRM tells a fund, because underneath the renamed fields it still believes a round is a sale with a close date and a win probability.

Yes, you can rename all of it. Three days of admin later the new analyst still has to be told what "Custom object 4" means.

Two things a fund asks for

It will do it.
Somebody has to.

This is not a list of things Salesforce cannot do. It will do all of it, and do it well. The question the price page does not answer is who at your firm is going to sit down and make it happen, and what they stop doing while they do.

Can we track LPs and what they have committed?

In Salesforce9 steps

  1. Scope it with the implementation partner
  2. Design the custom object
  3. Build the lookup back to Account
  4. Add the fields, then the page layout
  5. Write the validation rules
  6. Set the profiles and permission sets
  7. Build it in a sandbox first
  8. Deploy it with a change set
  9. Retrain the team on the new tab

A statement of work, and an admin who now owns it

LPs, commitments and capital calls are there on day one, with what you promised on the last call.

Can we rename a stage before Monday?

In Salesforce6 steps

  1. Ask the admin
  2. Wait for the admin's queue
  3. Change the picklist value
  4. Fix the reports that filtered on the old one
  5. Fix the dashboards fed by those reports
  6. Fix the automations that referenced it

You rename it yourself, in the interface, and nothing downstream breaks.

None of this is Salesforce working badly. This is Salesforce working exactly as designed, for a customer who has an administrator.

Eight people, three years

The licence is
the cheap part.

Both columns are list price off the two pricing pages, for the same eight people, for the same three years. One of the lines below has no number on it, and that is the point rather than an omission.

Salesforce Sales Cloud

8 people · Core · 3 years

  • Year one, 8 licences at $195 a monthCore, the middle of the five editions.$18,720
  • ImplementationQuoted per project by a partner. The only line here nobody can show you before you sign.not published
  • Year two, the same eight licences$18,720
  • Year three, the same eight licences$18,720
Three years$56,160 +

Plus implementation. Plus Premier support, if you take it, at 30% of net licence fees, which is another 16,848 over the same three years.

AnalystX Partnership

The same 8 people · 3 years

  • Year one, Partnership800 a month for the firm, 6 to 11 people.$9,600
  • ImplementationYou log in and connect the mailbox. From Partnership up we do it on a call with you.$0
  • Year two, the same firm$9,600
  • Year three, the same firm$9,600
Three years$28,800

A difference of 27,360 dollars before anyone quotes for the implementation, and there is no support tier to add on top.

Salesforce list prices for Sales Cloud, billed annually, and the Premier Success Plan rate of 30% of net licence fees, both from Salesforce's own pricing page, read 9 September 2026. Ours are on our own pricing page and are the same ones you would pay. Nothing is converted and nothing is discounted. We check this page every quarter and correct it when someone changes their prices, including when that is to our disadvantage. The sources: Salesforce Sales Cloud pricing · AnalystX pricing

The fund model is
already there.

Dealflow, companies, founders, portfolio, LPs, co-investors and events, related the way a fund relates them. Nobody scoped it, nobody built it in a sandbox, and nobody has to deploy a change set to fix it.

From there you adjust it: your stages, your fields, your own objects for the things only your firm tracks. That is an afternoon in the interface, and the analyst who does it does not become the person everyone asks afterwards.

Dealflow as a pipeline in AnalystX: sourced, screening, diligence, invested

Nobody's job
to maintain.

Every plan runs the whole product. The plan only decides how many people are on it.

  • Deal flow, LPs, co-investors, portfolio and datarooms, on day one, with no object to design first
  • Your own fields and objects, added in the interface, on any plan
  • Your email archive read back in time, so a new analyst inherits the firm's memory rather than an empty tab
  • Autopilot, for the follow-through nobody has time to think about
  • Agent access over MCP, using the Claude or ChatGPT your firm already pays for
  • One price for the firm, partners, analysts, the EA and the scouts included

No statement of work, no sandbox, no administrator, and no partner agency in the room.

If any of this
sounds familiar.

  • Bought it, hired a consultant, still not live? It's time for AnalystX.
  • Renamed every field and it still says "opportunity"? It's time for AnalystX.
  • Waiting on the admin to change a picklist? It's time for AnalystX.
  • Tracking LPs somewhere else entirely? It's time for AnalystX.

The honest
comparison.

Is Salesforce ever the right answer?
Yes, and for a lot of companies it is the only right answer. If the firm also runs a real outbound sales motion, or it has an in-house administrator whose actual job is the CRM, Salesforce will out-build us in every direction. It is the most configurable thing on this market and we are not pretending otherwise. Most funds of eight have neither the motion nor the administrator.
Is this not just a cheaper Salesforce?
No, and we would rather say so plainly. Salesforce will model anything you can describe, and we have decided in advance what a fund is. That is a real trade: if your firm needs something genuinely unusual, their blank flexibility beats our opinion. What you get for the opinion is that nobody at your firm has to have it.
We already have it. Can we move?
Yes. Export it, notes and all, duplicates and half-filled fields included. AnalystX sorts the file and shows you what it intends to create before anything is saved. Most firms are running over a weekend, and Salesforce stays on until you say otherwise.
What about the reports we built?
Bring the questions rather than the reports. The views a fund actually reruns, what moved this month, who has gone quiet, what is owed to an LP, are there already, and anything else you can ask your own agent over MCP rather than build.
What do we lose?
The consultant, the sandbox, the change sets, and the fields nobody filled in.
